A handwoven Banarasi cotton saree in neelambari — a deep, settled shade of blue — drawn over with thread-by-thread Kadhua motifs across the body, finished with a Kuniya corner-motif at the anchal. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari, with an intricate Banarasi border holding the drape on every edge. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Cotton Banarasi is the quieter cousin of the silk line — same loom, same patient hand, different yarn. The Kadhua tradition builds every butti into the cloth thread by thread, and the Kuniya corner is its own self-contained composition at the pallu. The luxury of the drape is the same discipline applied to a more breathable fibre.
Styling Note
Drapes beautifully Nivi-style with the pallu pleated wide so the Kuniya corner reads. Pair with classic gold or temple jewellery and an ivory, deep-rose or contrast-emerald raw-silk blouse.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom saree is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the saree to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the saree, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the saree stay beautiful for years.
