Rani Pink Silk Handloom Banarasi Stole
A handwoven Banarasi Katan silk stole in red and pink, woven in the satin-faced Tanchoi tradition. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari, with a refined Tanchoi composition running across the length of the stole. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Tanchoi celebrates restraint — the pattern is carried entirely by warp and weft, with no extra weft floats. A Banarasi stole in Tanchoi compresses the same loom hours as a saree onto a smaller piece, and the precision still has to land cleanly across every centimetre. The luxury is in the discipline.
Styling Note
Wears beautifully thrown over an evening dress or a contrast lehenga. Pair with kundan or delicate gold studs — the stole's own gradient does the heavy lifting.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom stole is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the stole to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the stole, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the stole stay beautiful for years.
