Green Pure Silk Handloom Banarasi Dupatta
A handwoven Banarasi Katan silk dupatta in deep green, carrying thread-by-thread Kadhua motifs across the body. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — an intricate Banarasi border frames the drape on every edge. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Deep green carries zari with grace — the colour holds gold work without competing with it, and the Kadhua tradition delivers the kind of placement that lets every motif read cleanly. Each weft is built into the cloth motif by motif; the luxury of the drape is in that unhurried, hand-paced placement.
Styling Note
Drape over a contrast suit or kurta — fold the pallu narrow so the motif scatter reads. Pair with antique-gold or kundan and an ivory or contrast burgundy base layer.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom dupatta is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the dupatta to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the dupatta, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the dupatta stay beautiful for years.
