An Organza silk Banarasi saree in soft ivory, worked in Kadhua and laid out as a continuous Jangla — scrolling vines and florals carried unbroken across the full body of the drape. The Kora-like translucence of the Organza lets the gold pattern stand forward. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — the jaal carries through the field, the border frames the drape, and the anchal closes the composition. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
A Jangla layout asks the weaver to build a continuous, scrolling field across the entire drape — no resting ground, no quiet metres. The composition must read as one breath from selvedge to selvedge. That is why Jangla pieces are counted among the most demanding Banarasi compositions, and why the loom holds them for weeks.
Styling Note
Drape Nivi or Lehenga-style; the Organza falls in long, soft pleats. Pair with antique-gold, polki or kundan, and choose a blouse in ivory raw silk, champagne tissue or deep gold to let the jaal carry the look.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom saree is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the saree to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the saree, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the saree stay beautiful for years.
