A cream Banarasi saree in pure Katan silk, drawn over with green motifs woven thread-by-thread across the body. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — the green motifs reading clearly against the cream ground, the border holding the drape with a steady worked line and the anchal carrying the same motifs in a closer arrangement. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Cream Katan with coloured zari is a classical Banarasi pairing — quiet ground, lifted motif — and Kadhua is what carries it. Every motif is woven thread-by-thread, the back of the cloth is left clean, and the placement is counted across every join. That weave time is exactly what places the saree in the luxury register.
Styling Note
A Nivi drape lets the cream ground hold the eye. Pair with antique-gold, polki or temple jewellery and a deep-emerald, oxblood or olive raw-silk blouse.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom saree is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the saree to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the saree, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the saree stay beautiful for years.
