Marigold Floral Buti Pure Tussar Silk Handloom Banarasi Saree
A marigold-gold Banarsi silk saree scattered with delicate floral butis, each small blossom outlined in gold and silver zari and touched with fine meenakari colour at its heart. The luminous, lightly slubbed ground carries the motifs in even rows across the body and pallu.
The border and anchal are woven in gold zari, framing the drape with a flowering brocade pattern that continues to the pallu end. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom, the meena accents are built into the weave rather than added after.
Styling Note
This saree drapes beautifully in the Nivi or Bengali style, the weighted anchal falling cleanly to lead the eye. Pair with antique gold or polki jewellery — the zari work reads best against warm metal tones. A deep blue or antique gold raw silk blouse keeps the focus on the weave; a contrast blouse in a deeper tone of the border colour works equally well.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom saree is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the saree to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the saree, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the saree stay beautiful for years.
