Orange Red Silk By Cotton Handloom Banarasi Suit Set
A handwoven Banarasi suit set in orange red, the kurta length and dupatta drawn together with thread-by-thread Kadhua motifs across the field. The motifs are all woven in zari, the cotton-by-silk base giving the cloth a soft drape with the zari catching light cleanly on top. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Cotton-by-silk is a particular Banarasi base — the warmth and breathability of cotton with the lift of silk in the weft. Kadhua motifs on this kind of cloth sit beautifully: woven thread by thread, each butti holds its own weft. The set arrives as a length of kurta and a dupatta, ready to be tailored to fit.
Styling Note
Tailor the kurta into a fitted Anarkali, an A-line cut, or a straight panelled silhouette; pair with churidars, palazzos or a sharara. Drape the dupatta over one shoulder or wrap across the chest. Style with antique-gold or kundan — small jhumkas with a slim choker, or a chand-bali.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom suit set is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the suit set to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the suit set, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the suit set stay beautiful for years.
