Pistachio Green Silk Handwoven Banarsi Fabric Thaan
A handwoven Banarasi Katan silk fabric thaan in pistachio green, paced by hand on a traditional pit loom. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari, with the technical care that defines a Banarasi weave — every metre paced by hand, every placement intentional. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Banarasi fabric thaans like this carry the same loom hours as a finished saree, compressed into a length you commission for your own design. The colour-and-silk balance of pistachio green and Katan creates a versatile base that takes well to blouse work, sherwani panels, or panelled lehengas.
Styling Note
Cuts beautifully into a structured blouse, a kurta panel, or contrasting lehenga inserts. Pair with antique-gold detailing or a contrast ivory lining; pistachio sits comfortably alongside both warm and cool palettes.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom textile is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After handling, allow the fabric to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the fabric, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the silk and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the fabric stay beautiful for years.
