Yellow Munga Silk Handloom Banarasi Suit Set
A Banarasi suit set in warm yellow, with the kurta and dupatta both worked in Munga silk and Kadhua motifs placed thread by thread along each length. The dupatta carries a slightly denser motif rhythm to act as the centre of the look. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — held within the body of the cloth rather than appliquéd. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Kadhua places each butti as a discrete event on the loom — its own weft, its own discipline, its own moment. Weeks of placement go into a single drape, and that slow accumulation is what gives Banarasi its quiet, unhurried luxury.
Styling Note
Tailor the kurta length straight or anarkali and pair with churidars or palazzo. Drape the dupatta long off one shoulder. Pair with antique-gold or polki studs and choose accessories in deeper marigold or ivory.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom suit set is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the suit set to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the suit set, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the suit set stay beautiful for years.
