Sky Blue Leaf Motif Pure Silk Handloom Banarsi Dupatta
A sky-blue Banarasi dupatta in pure Katan silk, drawn over with leaf motifs woven thread-by-thread across the field. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — the border holding the dupatta in a clean worked line and the anchal carrying the leaves in a fuller arrangement. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
A Kadhua dupatta asks for the same patience as a saree, only on a shorter drape — every leaf woven on its own weft, the back left clean. The shorter length lets the placement discipline read at a glance, and the loom hours that have gone into the piece are what make it a luxury throw rather than a printed scarf.
Styling Note
Wear over an ivory or contrast kurta-set, or as a second drape over a plain silk saree. Pair with chand bali earrings and a fine gold chain.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom dupatta is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the dupatta to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the dupatta, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the dupatta stay beautiful for years.
