Light Pink Charkhana Pure Kora Silk Banarsi Dupatta
A handwoven Banarasi dupatta in light pink, woven in kora silk and finished with a charkhana checked composition in zari with a kuniya corner-motif at the aanchal. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Charkhana is a quieter Banarasi discipline — a checked grid of zari and meenakari threads built in across the field. The pattern is small, the precision is the whole point: every square has to align as the cloth advances, and the loom does not allow it to drift.
Styling Note
Wear the dupatta draped softly over a fitted suit or lehenga, keeping the embellishment of the anchal in view. Pair with polki or chand-bali jewellery and a tonal blush or ivory silk choli underneath.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom dupatta is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the dupatta to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the dupatta, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the dupatta stay beautiful for years.
