A handwoven Banarasi Katan silk dupatta in soft yellow, charmed with classic Kadhua leaf bootis spaced across the body. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari, with an intricate zari border framing the drape on every edge. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.

A Banarasi odhni at its quietest — the kind of dupatta that wears its craft on the surface without overstatement. Each leaf booti is built into the cloth thread by thread in the Kadhua tradition, with the patience the weave demands. The luxury is in the precision of the placement, not the density.

Styling Note

Wears beautifully draped long over a contrast suit or paired over an Anarkali. Pair with delicate gold studs or a thin chain — let the zari edge of the dupatta lead.

Caring for Your Handloom

A handloom dupatta is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.

After wearing, allow the dupatta to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.

Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the dupatta, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the dupatta stay beautiful for years.
