Mustard Yellow Leaf Motif Pure Silk Handloom Banarasi Dupatta
In a refined mustard yellow palette, this Banarasi dupatta in Pure Katan Silk carries thread-by-thread leaf motifs in measured zari, lifting softly off the ground. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — the border runs along both ends in a continuous pattern. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
A Kadhua piece is recognised by the discipline of its placement: every butti carries its own length of weft, every motif sits exactly where the cartoon called for it. The reverse of the saree gives the craft away — no long floats, no embroidery threads, only neatly buried tails. That precision is hand-counted on the loom, one pick at a time, and it is what makes Kadhua a luxury textile rather than a printed one.
Styling Note
The dupatta is best draped over a kurta or lehenga set, with the border allowed to fall along the front. Pair with antique gold or temple jewellery and a ivory or deep maroon raw silk kurta so the weave leads the eye.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom dupatta is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the dupatta to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the dupatta, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the dupatta stay beautiful for years.
