Brick Red Silk By Cotton Handloom Banarasi Suit Set
A handwoven Banarasi cotton-by-silk suit set in brick red, with the kurta and dupatta both carrying thread-by-thread Kadhua motifs placed along each length. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — the dupatta carries a denser composition along the body, and the kurta length is finished with a Banarasi selvedge weave. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Cotton-by-silk takes the loom discipline of Banarasi and translates it into a more breathable cloth — the same Kadhua placement, the same patient weft-by-weft motif work, with a yarn that drapes more easily under stitching. The luxury is in the choice the textile gives the tailor: a hand fine enough for daily wear, with the same weave hours as a saree of the same composition.
Styling Note
Keep it simple — the weave speaks for itself. The dupatta carries the finer weave, so let it lead the look, and pair the set with simple jewellery.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom suit set is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the suit set to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the suit set, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the suit set stay beautiful for years.
