Grey Sona Rupa Pure Kora Silk Handloom Banarsi Dupatta
A handwoven Banarasi Kora silk dupatta in soft grey, carrying Sona Rupa work — fine gold and silver zari motifs paced together across the body, finished with a Kuniya corner-motif at the anchal. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Sona Rupa is the Banarasi tradition of weaving gold and silver zari together — each pass of the weft alternates the two, so the motifs read with a quiet bi-metal shine. On Kora silk, the work feels almost weightless; the luxury lies in how much hand-time the loom carries inside a translucent ground.
Styling Note
Drape over a tonal suit or contrast kurta — fold the pallu narrow so the Sona Rupa motifs catch the light. Pair with polki or silver-gold jewellery and an ivory or contrast jewel-toned base layer.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom dupatta is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the dupatta to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the dupatta, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the dupatta stay beautiful for years.
