Grey Leaf Motif Pure Silk Handloom Banarasi Dupatta
A handwoven Banarasi Katan silk dupatta in cool grey, drawn over with thread-by-thread Kadhua leaf motifs across the body. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — an intricate Banarasi border frames the drape on every edge. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
A leaf motif on a Kadhua loom asks for the kind of placement only a careful hand can manage — every vein, every stem, built into the cloth thread by thread, with its own weft. Grey lets the gold zari sit forward without warmth competing with it; the drape is a luxury precisely because the placement is the work.
Styling Note
Drape over a tonal suit or contrast kurta — fold the pallu narrow so the leaf scatter reads. Pair with silver or polki and an ivory or contrast green base layer.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom dupatta is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the dupatta to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the dupatta, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the dupatta stay beautiful for years.
