Pink Adda Pure Silk Handloom Banarasi Dupatta
A handwoven Banarasi pure Katan silk dupatta in pink adda, the field set with a continuous Jangla — scrolling vines and florals running across the body in unbroken zari work. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari, the jangla following the drape like vine and bloom and held along every edge by a steady Banarasi border. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
A jangla on a dupatta does not let the weaver relax — the vines still must connect across the loom in a continuous flow, and the florals must register cleanly along the way. The jaal is built thread by thread. That patient construction is what makes a Banarasi dupatta read with the same quiet weight as a saree.
Styling Note
Drape over a tonal kurta or a lehenga, pinned at one shoulder and pulled across the front to let the jangla read down the body. Pair with antique-gold or kundan — small jhumkas with a slim choker, or a chand-bali. The pink reads especially well against ivory, gold and deep wine tones.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom dupatta is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the dupatta to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the dupatta, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the dupatta stay beautiful for years.
