A handwoven Banarsi soft silk saree in a warm marigold yellow, with a smooth, easy fall. Fine floral butis are scattered across the body in delicate meenakari — pale ivory, coral and green threads that whisper against the golden ground.
The pallu carries a gold zari band and is finished with a row of multicoloured tassels, adding a playful, handcrafted touch. The restrained buti work keeps the saree light and graceful, letting the marigold tone do the talking.
A sunny, refined weave that pairs a joyful colour with quiet Banaras detailing.
Styling Note
Drape in Nivi or the open-pallu style so the field of motifs reads end to end. Pair with kundan or polki — green takes warm gold beautifully. A soft red or deeper pista blouse in raw silk balances the palette.
Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom saree is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the saree to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the saree, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the saree stay beautiful for years.
