Rani Pink Silk Handloom Banarasi Stole
A handwoven Banarasi Katan silk stole in rani pink with red contrast, woven in the satin-faced Tanchoi tradition. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari, with a refined Tanchoi composition running across the length of the stole. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom.
Tanchoi is the satin-weave Banarasi technique celebrated for its smooth-faced ground and densely packed motif work — the pattern is carried entirely by warp and weft, with no extra weft floats, which is why the back of a true Tanchoi reads almost as clean as the front. A stole this size demands the same precision as a saree, just on a tighter canvas.
Styling Note
Wears beautifully draped long over an evening dress, a kurta-trouser set, or a contrast saree. Pair with delicate gold studs and a thin clutch — let the zari edge lead the eye.

Caring for Your Handloom
A handloom stole is not just worn — it is preserved, rested, and cared for over time.
After wearing, allow the stole to settle gently. Dry clean only, so the weave, colour, and zari remain protected. When storing, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and keep it in a dry place. Zari is delicate and responds to changes in weather; the muslin helps the textile breathe while keeping the weave stable.
Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the stole, as fragrance and alcohol can affect the fabric and zari. Every few months, open it out and let it air naturally for a while — a small ritual that allows the weave to breathe and helps the stole stay beautiful for years.
